Hello All,

My little brother has kindly set up this section of his Blog for me and after a quick phone call about what a blog is, I'm raring to go!

For those of you who do not know (notice how I'm assuming that more than my immediate family members will actually read this!), my first big adventure was back in 2004 when I went and lived with monkeys in South Africa. It was an unmitigated success, apart from the minor Typhoid incident, and I have therefore decided that a second adventure is needed!

On the 2nd of July 2011 I will be heading off into the wild blue yonder, via Newcastle, and will hopefully end up in a small Indonesian town called Palangkaraya. Here, I will commence my boat ride / trek into the jungle where I will spend 7 weeks. I'm living in a hut on the edge of a swamp and looking for orangutans. Every girls dream! :)

I've got my flights and enough DEET to repel every mosquito in the world and apart from the minor issue of a Visa, I'm ready to go.

Not sure what my Internet access will be like but I'll update as and when I can.

I am determined not to die, or even catch any tropical diseases! WISH ME LUCK!!!!!!!
